May we present BERHIN studios furniture to you? New to the world – we were founded in 2005 – BERHIN studios have an ambition of creating classics. A classic to us is shaping a new category of design furniture, do not compromise on pure and simple aesthetic nor on genuine quality, and it will please its proud owners for generations. This is what we have for our eyes shaping members of the BERHIN studios family. Our furniture have simple, naturally bending lines, pleasing to the eye today and tomorrow, just like a tree on a field – there for you today and equally beautiful each time you return. Over the years it may need a repaint or new clothing, but the heart of the furniture will always be there for you, just like the tree on the field. The BERHIN story The designer Johan Berhin, founder of BERHIN studios, was working as manager in the IT-business, but he had a thought of a chair. A gently bending chair in one piece. One day this thought had grown into a scale model – the chair ‘One C’ was born. Happy as a child shaping with his hands again, Johan could not resist the temptation. With support from the Swedish family owned manufacturer Åberg & Söner, ‘One C’ was put in production. Johan Berhin with 'One C' scale model Surrounded by the first chairs, the ideas were flowing – being unique, yet simple, the variations on the ‘C’ theme seemed infinite. Today the ‘C’ series contains also - the ‘Half C’ hang-on-the-wall stool (really half as wide as the 'One C') - the ‘Multi C’ bench (made from thin slices of 'One C') and - the ‘Stack C’ chair ('One C' cut out so that they all fit in each other).
